How can I reset my password to my Untappd account?

If you can't log in, tap Log In, then Continue with Email, then Forgot password? to reset by email. If you're already in the app, change your password in Settings (the gear icon at the top right of Discover, or on your profile) > Account & Security > Change Password.

If you can't log in and are signed out

  1. Tap Log In, then Continue with Email. Tap Forgot password? under the Password field.

  1. Enter the email address on your Untappd account.

  1. Open the email Untappd sends and follow the link to set a new password.

You'll be able to log in with the new password.

You can also go straight to untappd.com/account/reset_password.

If you're logged in

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Account & Security.

  1. Tap Change Password.
  2. Enter your current password, then your new password twice, and tap Change Password.
  3. You'll be able to log in with the new password on your next login.

Good to know

  • Use Change Password if you know your current password. If you don't, use the email reset instead.
  • If Sign in With Apple or Sign in With Google is Linked (or you created the account with Apple or Google and never set a password), use the email reset at untappd.com/account/reset_password. That sets a password without unlinking Apple or Google. On the web, Account Settings shows Set or reset it securely by email for those accounts.
  • If you've turned on Face ID, Touch ID, or Biometric login under Account & Security, you can tap the Face ID or fingerprint icon next to Log In to sign in.
  • If your account was created with Facebook, use the email on that account with Forgot password?, then log in with email and password. Requesting the reset converts the account to a regular email account. Facebook login is no longer offered in the app or on the web.

Don't see it?

Don't see Forgot password? Tap Log In, then Continue with Email. It's under the Password field. Don't see Change Password? Open Settings from the gear on Discover or on your profile (not Community), then Account & Security. That section is hidden if you're using Untappd without an account.
