Users of legal drinking age that choose not to sign up via the Google or Apple options can now access the app after downloading without creating an account. This will allow you to see menus, find venues, and view ratings in the app.
You will see an updated login page with a button in the upper right that allows you to skip the email/username and password account creation or login; however, you will still need to provide your birthday and country to establish you are of legal drinking age:
You will also need to provide and set up:
- Your email address
- A password
- A username
Unregistered users can:
- View menus from verified venues
- Subscribe to venue notifications
- View maps tab and activity feed for nearby their location
- View all informational pages in the app: beer, brewery, venue, verified venue, style
- Search for beers, breweries, and venues
- View news and notifications from venues they are subscribed to
- Adjust settings for notifications, units and location, and app display settings
- Share the content from the app: events, venues, breweries, beers
Unregistered users cannot:
- Check in, earn badges, contribute to ratings, see promotions, etc.
- Toast or comment on others’ check-ins
- Add friends
- Search for users or be found by other users
- Direct message other users
- Connect to other social platforms in the app
- Have a publicly visible or private profile with a username or email
- Report users, flag check-ins, or comment
- Suggest edits to beers or venues or create new beers or breweries
- Adjust account-based settings
- Log out
- RSVP (both Interested and Going) to events
