If a friend signed into Untappd on your phone, your device can keep getting their push notifications. Have them remove your device from their account under Devices (or on the web). Removing a device stops notifications on it. It does not log that device out.
On the app (friend's account)
Your friend needs to do this while signed into their account on their own phone or on the web. If they sign in on your phone, it shows as This Device and can't be removed from there.
- Open Settings (the gear icon at the top right of Discover, or on your profile; not on Community).
- Tap Account & Security, then Devices.
- Find your phone in the list (device name and Added On: date).
- Tap the red X (Remove Device) on that row. You cannot remove the row labeled This Device.
- When asked to remove the device, tap Yes.
- You'll stop getting that account's Untappd pushes on the removed device.
On the web (alternate)
- Have your friend open untappd.com/account/connections while signed in.
- Under Connected Devices, click Remove Device next to your phone and confirm.
Good to know
- Devices keep receiving notifications even when that account is not currently signed in on the phone. Removing the device is what stops them.
- Remove Device does not sign the account out on that phone. To sign out everywhere, see Logout of All Devices.
- Your own Devices list only manages devices on your account. Your friend has to remove your phone from theirs.
Don't see it?
- Don't see Devices? Open Settings > Account & Security on a registered account.
- Don't see a red X? That row is This Device (the phone in hand), which cannot be removed.
- Still getting pushes after remove? Confirm the friend removed the correct device, or use the web connections page.
