How to Edit Check-Ins

You can edit a check-in after you post it to fix anything you entered wrong, including the drink. Editing works in the iOS and Android apps only.

Edit from the feed or your profile

  1. Find the check-in in the Community tab at the bottom of the screen, or on the Check-ins section of your profile (tap your avatar at the top right of Discover or Community).
  2. Tap the three-dot menu (…) on the check-in.
  3. Tap Edit.
  4. Change anything you like. To choose a different drink, tap the pencil icon next to the drink name at the top.
  5. Tap Save.

Edit from the check-in detail screen

  1. Tap a check-in to open its detail screen.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu at the top right of the screen.
  3. Tap Edit.
  4. Change what you like.
  5. Tap Save.

Good to know

  • Editing can change which badges a check-in counts toward later (Riding Steady, Middle of the Road, and others), but badges already earned aren't removed, and a badge isn't awarded retroactively for an edit.
  • Deleting a check-in removes every badge tied to it and the drink from your unique and total drink counts.
  • Adding a Verified Place (a bar or store that manages its menu on Untappd) by editing doesn't grant Local Badges.
  • There is no time limit on editing and you can remove a photo.
  • Friends aren't notified of the edits you make and the check-in isn't marked as edited on the app.
  • Changing the date and time of a check-in is exclusive to Insiders only.
