This is an Insider feature (a paid Untappd subscription). You can set the date and time on a new check-in or when editing an old one. The control is a pill with a clock icon at the bottom of the check-in screen, showing the date and the time side by side, right above the Check-in button (or Save when editing).
During a new check-in
- Tap the yellow Check-in button (the round + at the bottom right of Discover and Community) and pick a drink.
- On the check-in screen, tap the date in the pill above the Check-in button.
- Choose a day on the date wheel and tap Confirm.
- Tap the time, choose a time on the time wheel, and tap Confirm.
- Tap Check-in when you're done.
- Your check-in posts with the date and time you picked. Tap Cancel on either wheel to keep what was there.
Note: On Android, one tap opens a single picker for both date and time.
Editing a previous check-in
- Open the three-dot menu on your check-in in the feed or on your profile and tap Edit (see How to Edit Check-Ins).
- Tap the date in the pill above the Save button.
- Choose a day on the date wheel and tap Confirm.
- Tap the time, choose a time on the time wheel, and tap Confirm.
- Tap Save.
- The check-in moves to its new spot in your check-in history.
Good to know
You can't set a future date for a check-in. The app will say "Future dated check-ins are not supported.
Changing a check-in's date after posting doesn't earn a badge itself. The progress still counts and the badge is awarded on your next qualifying check-in. Setting an earlier date while creating a check-in works like a normal check-in and can earn badges right away.
The check-in shows in date order on the drink page, producer (the brewery, winery, or distillery) page, place page, and your profile (tap your avatar at the top right of Discover or Community).
A check-in whose date or time you changed doesn't appear in the feed on the Community tab at the bottom of the screen. It still shows on your profile. Friends won't get a push notification about it, even if they subscribe to you.
Don't see it?
The date control only appears for Insiders. If you're not an Insider, there's nothing above the Check-in button, not even a locked version. See What are my pricing options to become an Untappd Insider?.
