You can add a drink or producer (the brewery, winery, or distillery) when it is missing from Untappd. Search for it first. If it's not there, tap Can't find the drink? at the bottom of the results to add it. Searching for a producer instead? Tap Can't find the producer? to add a drink made by them. A drink must have a producer. If the producer is missing, you can add it while you create the drink.

Before you add anything, read the Drink Guidelines and Naming Standards linked on the rules step (and Supported Brewery Types before adding a producer). Unsupported entries can be removed, and repeated bad entries can revoke create privileges.
Add a drink to an existing producer
- Open the Search tab at the bottom of the screen, or open drink search from the yellow Check-in button (the round + at the bottom right of Discover and Community). You can also reach create from Scan Barcode when a code is not found.
- Search for the drink. At the bottom of the results, tap Can't find the drink?
- Read the Drink Creation Rules, which link to the Naming Standards and Drink Guidelines, then tap Continue.
- Enter the Drink Name, Parent Style, and Substyle, then add any other details. Under Tags, select any that apply. If a tag has subtypes, pick Barrel Type (for barrel-aged) or Subtype. Tap Next.
- Tap Producer Name, then search for and select the producer. Tap Next.
- Review the summary (tags can show combined names such as Barrel-aged: Bourbon), then tap Finish. If your drink looks like one already on Untappd, you'll be asked to check it. Tap No, Create my Drink if yours is different.
- You'll land on the new drink and can check in.
Add a drink with a new producer
- Start the same way: search, tap Can't find the drink?, tap Continue, and fill in the drink details.
- Tap Producer Name and search for the producer. If it's missing, tap Add New Producer.
- Enter the producer's name, type, and country, then tap Next.
- Review the summary and tap Finish. The new producer is added along with your drink.
On the web
- Search for the drink. Scroll to the bottom of results and select You can add it here.
- Read the guidelines and fill in the form. To add a new producer, search for it in the producer field, click Don't see your producer? Click here to add it., and fill in the producer fields.
- Click Add New Drink.
Good to know
- Only the producers involved can mark a collaboration or add collaborators. You cannot create a drink as a collaboration or propose a collaboration as an edit in this flow.
- Creation can be revoked after repeated improper entries.
- If you are unsure whether a drink is supported, contact Support before adding it.

- Don't see Can't find the drink? Scroll to the end of the search results. It appears once the search finishes.
