Untappd supports a broad set of drink types. These guidelines define what drinks are supported on Untappd and the requirements for each category.
When determining whether a drink is allowed, we consider:
- How the drink is produced
- What the drink is fermented or distilled from, if applicable
- Regional definitions and labeling laws
Be sure the drink meets our Naming Standards as well.
A drink must meet all of the below requirements for its category in order to be allowed on Untappd. These guidelines are a living document and may evolve with innovation, legislation, or unforeseen circumstances.
Before you proceed:
- Review the supported categories and requirements. Adding drinks outside these rules may result in creation privileges being revoked.
- If you are unsure whether a drink is allowed, submit a support ticket and we will help.
