Untappd Inventory helps you track beer, wine, spirits, ready to drink cocktails, and non-alcoholic products in one place, from the moment a delivery arrives to the count that keeps your numbers accurate. This article covers what Inventory tracks, how to get to it, and how to read the dashboard you will see every time you open it.
What Untappd Inventory Tracks
Inventory covers every category you are likely to carry: beer, wine, spirits, ready to drink cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks. Every product in your catalog is defined by what it is and the container you count it in, whether that is a keg, a bottle, or a can.
How to Access Inventory
Access to Inventory is tied to your venue. If you are a member of a venue with an active Inventory subscription, you can open Inventory directly from that venue's Launchpad. There is no separate login or sign up step.
If you need to add a teammate, or you are not sure who currently has access at your venue, see Inviting Your Team and Managing Access.
A Tour of the Inventory Dashboard
Opening Inventory takes you straight to the Dashboard. This is the first thing you see, and it is built around one question: what needs your attention right now.
1: Quick Actions
At the top of the Dashboard you will find three shortcuts: Start a Count, Add a Receipt, and Add an Item. Use these any time you want to jump straight into one of these tasks without navigating through the menu.
2: The Setup Checklist
The first time you use Inventory, a four step checklist walks you through getting your venue's numbers accurate:
- Set up your storage areas.
- Build your catalog.
- Make sure nothing is missing
- Run a baseline count.
Some steps you complete yourself and mark done with a Mark Done button. Others complete automatically once you take the related action, such as adding your first invoice, and are labeled Automatic. Once a step is complete, it collapses to a single line, such as “Confirmed Aug 5.” If you mark something done by mistake, click Undo.
3: Stock Health Tiles
Below the checklist, four tiles give you a snapshot of your stock: Total Items, Out of Stock, Low Stock, and Estimated Inventory Value. Total Items, Out of Stock, and Low Stock update live. Click Out of Stock or Low Stock to jump straight to that filtered list on your Inventory page. Estimated Inventory Value is coming soon and is not yet calculated.
4: Needs Attention
This section lists the specific items driving your Out of Stock and Low Stock counts, worst first, up to five at a time. Each entry shows the item's container, storage area, and how far below its reorder point it has fallen. Click View All to see the complete list.
5: Counting Status
This section shows the status of whatever count matters most right now, either a count already in progress that you can resume, or how long it has been since your last count, along with a button to start your next one.
Once these are done, day to day use of Inventory mostly involves receiving deliveries, running counts on a schedule, and keeping an eye on the dashboard. See Everyday Stock Management for what that looks like.
