Analytics Landing Page
Click the Analytics tab in your account to access the Analytics landing page. This is where you can see all of you analytics in one convenient place. This new consolidated page shows Venue Stats, Nearby Stats, Promo Stats, and Local badge stats.
- Venue Stats: The Analytics page is a full replacement for Business & Venue Statistics pages as they exist today.
- Nearby Stats: Links to the existing Nearby Stats Page
- Promo Stats: Links to the existing Promo Stats Page
- If your account did not already have an existing promo stats page, this section will not show up on the Analytics landing page
- Local Badge Stats: Links to the existing Local Badge Stats Page.
- You can still access your local badge stats from your UTFB launchpad
- If you don’t have a local badge, this section will not be listed on the Analytics landing page
Venue Statistics
The venue statistics page provides you with the most pertinent data to help you understand Untappd Usage within your establishment.
Global Filter Options
- Your Venues: The “your venues” option allows you to select one or more venues if you have access to multiple venues. When multiple venues are selected, the “your venues” table will show a summary view of each of the selected venues. All of the other tables will aggregate the data. For example, if you are looking at Venue A and Venue B, the check-ins will show a combined total of check-ins across both Venue A and Venue B.
- Timeframe: The timeframe filter allows you to choose the timeframe in which you want to view the data. It is set to 30 days by default; however, you can change the timeframe to 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, 60 days, 90 days, 180 days or 365 days. It is important to note that the data does not display in “real time,” but rather it is delayed by up to a day. It is added to venue Insights overnight and all times are Eastern Time (US), so if you are looking at the last 24 hours at 12pm on Feb 19, 2024, you will only see data from prior to 6am ET.
- Purchase Type: The purchase type filter includes All, On Premise, or Off Premise purchase types.

- On Premise - This includes check-ins on Untappd that include a Location of the venue
- Off Premise - This includes check-ins on Untappd that include a Purchased Location of the venue
- Note - If a check-in includes both a Location AND a Purchased Location, the check-in counts as On Premise

Your Venues
The “your venues” page is intended to provide summary data across multiple venues for quick analysis and decision making; i.e. to easily see which of your venues is performing the best based on the metrics you care about. You are able to sort and filter each of the columns to slice and dice the data. You can also export the data to a CSV file.
Check-Ins
The check-ins chart shows three performance indicators, along with a graph which allows you to view the data by hour, day, week, month, or quarter.
- Total Check-ins: This is the total number of check-ins based on the filters set at the top of the venue statistics page.
- Unique Users: This is the number of unique users that checked in based on the filters set at the top of the venue statistics page.
- Check-in ratio: This is the ratio of total check-ins divided by unique users. So if 25 users checked in 100 total beers, the check-in ratio would be 4.
Menu Views
Untappd Menu Views is an important metric to show you the reach of your Untappd for Business account. It includes five performance indicators, along with a graph which allows you to view the data by hour, day, week, month, or quarter. When you export menu view data you will receive a CSV with a daily snapshot of menu views broken down by app, web, API, and website.
***Note: Purchase Type does not apply to Untappd Menu Views. The menu views will NOT change based on the selected purchase type.
- Total Untappd Menu Views: This is the total number of menu views based on the filters set at the top of the venue statistics page.
- App Views: This is the total number of times an Untappd user viewed a venue's menu on the Untappd App (iOS or Android).
- Untappd Web Views: This is the total number of times an Untappd user viewed a venue's menu on untappd.com.
- Website Views: If you are using the UTFB web embed in your website, we can track the number of views the menu received there.
- API Views: If you are a Premium customer using the Untappd for Business API, you may utilize the API to do all sorts of things, such as build custom Digital Menus or add menu information to your consumer website. If you are using the UTFB API, we will track any views that are made to the API.
Customer Demographics
The customer demographics card provides a detailed snapshot into the demographic details of Untappd users who are checking in at you establishment. It includes the ability to view age and gender of users who are checking in.
Exporting the demographic data results in two CSV files. The first is a breakdown of check-ins by age group and the second is a breakdown of check-ins by gender:
Untappd Subscribers
Untappd Subscribers is an important metric to follow and try to grow as a business. Subscribers receive push notifications every time a beer or event is added to your account.
***Note: Purchase Type & Timeframe do not apply to Untappd Subscribers. Subscriber information will NOT change based on the selected purchase type or the time frame.
- Total Subscribers: This is the total number of subscribers based on the selected filters above.
- Beer & Event: This is the total number of subscribers who said they wanted to subscribe to beer and event updates.
- Beer: This is the total number of subscribers who said they wanted to subscribe to beer updates only.
- Events: This is the total number of subscribers who said they wanted to subscribe to event updates only.
Beer & Style Lists
Untappd check-ins help tell a really compelling story of consumer preference, especially within an establishment. While POS systems certainly will tell you what was purchased at your venue, Untappd Insights can help you determine which SKUs and styles are popular over time.
- Popular Beers: This list provides the Top 10 most popular beers based on check-in volume based on the global filter options selected.
- Top Rated Beers: This list provides the Top 10 highest rated beers based on a minimum of 2 check-ins, based on the global filter options selected. We also include Untappd's All-Time rating for comparison.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the system know which venues I have access to?
It is based on user access, specifically whether the user in question has access to can list business analytics or can list venue analytics under User Permissions (see the Manage Users tab). Since venue analytics now encompasses both business and venue analytics, we made it so if a user has access to one or both of those permissions, they will have access to venue stats.
What timezone is my data listed in?
In totals Venue and Business Analytics, all time is listed in UTC time. In Venue Statistics the time is going to be shown in the context of the timezone of the physical location of the venue you are logged into. This is important because if you are a user who has access to venues across timezones, the data will be shown in the timezone of the venue you are currently logged into, rather than the timezone of the venue that you have selected in the your venues filter.
Why don’t the number of check-ins directly match the number of check-ins that I see on my Untappd verified venues page?
This discrepancy can be due to a number of things. For example: bucketed users, blocked users, users who have opted out, etc.
How many check-ins need to exist for a beer to make the top rated beers list?
A beer needs to be checked in at least 2 times with 2 unique users in order to count for the top rated beers list
