You can help clean up Untappd's drink and producer (the brewery, winery, or distillery) database by proposing an edit, proposing a collaboration, or flagging a duplicate. Proposals go to a Moderator for your region. If you created the drink, or you are a Moderator, producer account, or producer manager, you may be able to edit drinks directly without proposing.
Propose an edit (app)
- Open the drink or producer page.
- Tap the three-dot menu at the top right.
- Tap Propose an Edit. The propose-edit page opens in the in-app browser.
- Make your changes, then tap Submit Edit.
Flag as duplicate (app)
- Open the drink or producer page.
- Tap the three-dot menu at the top right.
- Tap Flag as Duplicate. The duplicate form opens in the in-app browser.
- Search for the matching drink or producer, select it, then tap Submit Duplicate.
Propose a collaboration
You can propose a collaboration from a drink page.
- Open the drink page.
- Tap the three-dot menu at the top right, then tap Propose an Edit.
- Tap Click here! after the line about proposing a collaboration.
- Search for and select the collaborating producer, add comments if you want, then tap Submit Collaboration.
On the web, open the drink page, click Propose Edit, and follow the same steps.
On the web (edit and duplicate)
- Open the drink or producer page.
- For an edit, use Propose Edit, change the fields, then click Submit Edit.
- For a duplicate, use Propose Duplicate, pick the match, then Submit Duplicate.
You'll see confirmation after submit. The proposal waits in the Moderator queue for your region.
Good to know
- Only the producers involved can mark a drink as a collaboration or add collaborators when creating. You can propose a collaboration with Propose an Edit, but not while creating a drink.
- Using Untappd without an account? Propose an Edit and Flag as Duplicate show the sign-up prompt (Hold up!).
