Search lives on the Search tab at the bottom of the screen. Find drinks, producers( breweries, wineries, distilleries, etc.), places, or scan a barcode.
Search by name
- Tap the Search tab at the bottom of the screen.
- You'll see Recently Selected while the field is empty. Tap Clear to wipe that list.
- Type a drink, producer, or place name.
- Tap Drink, Producer, or Place to filter results to that type based on what you’re looking for.
- Tap a result to open that drink, producer, or place page.
Scan a barcode
- On the Search tab, leave the field empty so the scan icon shows at the right end of the field.
- Tap the scan icon.
- Point the camera at the barcode or QR code. Tip: If the barcode is blurry, move it away so the camera can focus.
- You'll land on the matching drink page when the scan finds a drink barcode. The same scanner also reads Untappd QR codes (for example a friend nametag, which opens their profile).
Good to know
- Drink, Producer, and Place only appear after you type. An empty field shows Recently Selected instead.
Don't see it?
Don't see the scan icon? Clear the search field. It only shows while the field is empty.
