Claimed producers (the brewery, winery, or distillery) can toast (similar to a like on other platforms) and comment on your check-ins to their drinks. Turn that off for all producers in Settings > Privacy & Visibility, or mute one producer on the web.
Opt out of all producers (app)
- Open Settings (the gear icon at the top right of Discover, or on your profile; not on Community).
- Tap Privacy & Visibility.
- Under Public Interaction, turn off Allow producers to comment on my check-ins to their drinks.
- You'll stop getting producer comments on check-ins to their drinks.
Opt out of all producers (web)
- Open untappd.com/account/privacy while using your Untappd account.
- Uncheck Allow claimed breweries that I check-in to the ability to comment on my checkins.
Mute one producer (web only)
Mute a single producer on desktop or mobile web. The app has no producer mute (producer … menus offer Share, lists, and edit/flag actions instead).
Desktop web
- Open the producer page.
- In the right sidebar, select muting them.
Mobile web
- Open the producer page.
- Near the bottom of the page, find "Disable comments from this brewery on your check-ins by muting them" and tap muting them.
Good to know
- Producers can only interact on check-ins to their own drinks.
- Turning the app toggle off opts you out of all producers. To mute just one producer, use the web steps above.
- The mute option only appears on claimed producer pages, and only while you're logged in.
Don't see it?
- Don't see Allow producers to comment on my check-ins to their drinks? Open Settings > Privacy & Visibility (not Advanced).
- Looking for Mute in the app? Use desktop or mobile web on the producer page.
- Gear missing on Community? Open Settings from Discover or your profile.
