There are three different types of accounts you can have on Untappd. These accounts each interact with Untappd in their own unique way.
- User Accounts - User accounts can use the app to find Drinks, Producers or Places, interact with friends, producers and places.

Brand Accounts - Brand Accounts manage the portfolio of a specific producer page and can interact with users.
- If you are a producer and you want to manage your page and portfolio you can submit a claim to manage your producer page. Don’t create a user account with the email you plan to use for your producer claim. An email address can only belong to one account, so if it’s already tied to a user account, it can’t be used to claim a producer page.

Verified Place (Untappd for Business) Accounts - Verified Place accounts are a paid subscription service for our business partners that provides tools for creating tap lists/digital boards, and interacting with users. You can have both a Verified Place and Brand account using unique email addresses.
