What is the Toast and Untappd for Business integration?
- This integration connects your Toast account directly to your Untappd for Business (UTFB) subscription. When you add, modify, or remove items in Toast, those changes automatically appear in UTFB—keeping your menus updated with no manual work.
Does it cost extra?
- No. The integration is included with your active UTFB and Toast subscriptions.
To use third-party integrations (including UTFB), your Toast account must be on a Restaurant Management Suite (RMS) plan, which provides access to the Integrations Marketplace.
How long does setup take?
- Usually just a few minutes. Log into Toast, search for the UTFB integration, and enter your UTFB Venue ID when prompted. Once connected, your Toast items can be imported immediately.
What can I sync from Toast?
You can sync all items at the top level of your Toast menus, including beer, wine, spirits, cocktails, NA beverages, and food. Nested submenus are not yet supported and will import as flat sections.
Note: When importing a category, all items in that category are included, even if they are currently out of stock.
Can I make changes in UTFB after syncing?

Synced menus are read-only in UTFB. To edit structure, item names, prices, availability, or serving sizes, make those changes directly in Toast. UTFB will automatically reflect updates shortly after Toast publishes them. You can edit the following in UTFB without breaking sync:
beverage details (style, ABV, IBU, brewery, description)
designations (nitro, cask, local)
tap numbers
sort order in UTFB
What happens when I update an item in Toast?
Any time you update an item, i.e. adding, removing, editing, or adjusting availability, the change is reflected in UTFB automatically. Inventory changes such as “out of stock” or “unavailable” will also hide items from your live menu in UTFB.
How do I schedule menus to change automatically with Toast?
Toast supports Scheduled Publishing, which allows you to plan menu changes based on date and time.
When Toast publishes your scheduled updates, your UTFB menu updates automatically. See the Scheduled Menus / Scheduled Publishing with Toast section in the main Toast integration article for detailed steps.
What if an item doesn’t match correctly?
- Use Match Now in the Toast Sync page to search for the correct beverage or item.
You can also hide unmatched items if you do not want them to appear on your menu.

The item is unmatched in the Toast Sync page
The item is Out of Stock in Toast
The item’s inventory is 0
The item was marked Unavailable in the Toast Sync page
The item is part of a nested submenu, which is not imported
Why can’t I edit my synced menu in UTFB?
- You can't edit synced menus in UTFB because the integration is read-only. UTFB mirrors the structure of your Toast menus to keep everything consistent. Tooltips in UTFB will direct you back to Toast for edits related to structure, naming, or pricing.
How often does it sync?
- Syncs are continuous; changes in Toast automatically update UTFB within moments without needing a manual refresh.
Can I disconnect the integration?
- Yes. Go to Toast › Integrations › Configure Integrations, locate Untappd for Business, and remove it.
Menus will remain in UTFB but will stop receiving updates.
