Untappd Inventory is now available as an iPhone app, so counting stock and receiving deliveries can happen right on the floor instead of waiting for a desk. The app covers two jobs: counting and receiving. More of the web experience will follow in later releases. Catalog setup and spreadsheet import are still done on the web.
Signing In
If you are already a user on Untappd for Business, there is no separate Inventory login. Sign in with the same Untappd for Business email and password you already use, and the app keeps you signed in between visits. You need to be a member of a location with an active Inventory subscription. That includes accounts still on a trial or waiting on venue verification, who can now sign in on mobile the same as on the web.
If you manage more than one location, the Choose a Location screen lists all of them. Switch at any time by tapping the location name at the top of the Dashboard tab.
The Board
The Dashboard tab opens on The Board: four tiles for Out of Stock, Low Stock, Estimated Inventory Value, and time since your last count. Below them, Last Count shows when the count was posted and suggests a date for the next one, Receipts Pipeline shows how many receipts are processing, waiting for review, or failed, and Value by Category breaks your stock value down by beverage type.
Tap a stock tile to open the Inventory list filtered to All, Out, Low, or Attention items. A location that hasn't set up its catalog yet sees a Light Up the Board setup card instead, with the steps to get going. Importing the catalog itself is still done on the web.
Counting on Your Phone
From Counts > New Count, choose a Full Count or a single Storage Area, set the start time, and optionally turn on Hide Expected Quantities for a blind count.
On a Full Count, each storage area has its own tab under the progress line. Tap a tab to see only that area's items, with the area's progress beside its name. Each package's Expected and Variance sit right beside its count field and update as you type, and decimals are fine, so half a bottle goes in as 0.5. Every entry saves to the phone the moment you make it and syncs as soon as you're back in range, so a spotty connection in the cellar doesn't cost you your numbers.
When you're done, Review Count lists every product with its variance and marks anything you skipped as left unchanged. Complete Count locks in the numbers, Reopen Count lets you fix one, and Post Count applies the count to your stock. Posting a count requires the Inventory admin permission. If you don't have it, your completed count waits until someone who does posts it.
Note: Cancel Count only appears on a count that hasn't been posted yet. Once a count is posted, Synced appears beside the Posted badge, and the count can't be cancelled, since its adjustments are already part of your stock history.
The … menu on any synced count lets you print a count sheet or save it as a PDF, one page per storage area.
Receiving on Your Phone
On the Receipts tab, tap Add Receipt, take a photo of the invoice or pick one from your library, choose the vendor, and upload. The app reads the invoice lines for you, usually in under a minute, and you can leave the screen while it works.
On the extracted receipt, match each printed line to a product in your catalog, confirm the packaging, quantity, and cost, and pick the storage area it lands in. Lines you don't track, like deposits, can be skipped. If a vendor, product, or package size is missing, add it right there without leaving the receipt. New catalog items search the Untappd database so the brewery and product are right the first time.
When every line is matched or skipped, Confirm and Receive Inventory adds the quantities to your stock and the costs flow into your inventory value.
Time Zones
Every time in the app is shown in your venue's time zone, and screens that show a time name it, for example "All times are displayed in (EDT) America/New_York." That includes the New Count sheet, the count screen, count History, and the Receipts list.
Appearance
The Settings tab shows who you're signed in as and the app version, and lets you choose Light, Dark, or System appearance. Signing out from Settings asks you to confirm first, since you'll need to sign in again on that device.
Note: Everything posted from the app shows up on the web immediately. The two share one catalog, one set of storage areas, and one stock history.
