To ensure your Firestick is running at peak performance, it’s important to restart/reboot your Firestick every couple of days. If you are experiencing any issues with your Firestick, following the instructions below to restart your device is a great first step to troubleshooting. There are two ways to restart your Firestick:
Via the Remote
The easiest way to restart your Firestick is to hold the select and play/pause button for about 5-10 seconds. You will then see a message on the screen saying your device is powering off, which means that it is restarting.
If that doesn’t work for you, you can restart the device via settings.
- To get into settings, you can either hold the home button and then click settings, or from the home screen on the Firestick, navigate to the far right to get into the settings.
- Navigate over to My Fire TV
- Click Restart
- Click Restart again to confirm that you want to restart your device! It will then power down.
Again, to ensure that your device is operating at peak performance it’s important to do this at least every couple of days. If you have any questions or issues, you can reach us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 910-292-4336.
