For this process, you will need to attach a Bluetooth or Wired Keyboard and Mouse.
1. Turn off the Chromebit by removing the power cord - however, leave it plugged into the HDMI port. It may be helpful to have the Chromebit attached to the HDMI extension. In addition, this process is easier with an additional set of hands!
2. Push a paperclip (or pushpin) into the recovery button hole (the recovery button hole is circled in the image below) while reconnecting the power cord (to turn on the device).
This is what you should see on the screen:
3. Press Ctrl + D on the keyboard
This is what you’ll see on the screen:
4. Once again, push a paperclip (or pushpin) into the recovery button hole once. The device reboots and displays a red exclamation point.
Press the SPACEBAR
The next screen that pops up once the device restarts will require you to press "ENTER" - once you do that, you're done! The Chromebit will restart and you can then set the device back up, starting by choosing your WiFi network.
You can reference this setup guide to complete the process, or give us a call and we can walk you through this.
