Untappd for iOS
Login using your untappd user name and password. Once logged in,
you won't need to login again
unless you delete the app and reinstall it. If you have login
issues you can review our FAQ on how to get assistance.
Friends
to see you friends activity go to the friends tab. You can easily search for friends by enter their name in the search field.
To add a friend click the green plus button and they will be a sent a friend request. Once they accept their activity will appear with your Untappd Friends Feed
FYI: Under My Tab > Settings you can scan Twitter and Facebook for friends and invite them to connect with you on Untappd. See more on this below.
To remove a friend click on My Tab > Friends and click the red minus button.
The Pub
The Pub is all the current activity of public Untappd users. You can view the Pub Globally or Nearby to see friends around the world or around your neighborhood.
Toasting & Commenting
On any checkin you can toast (like) the activity or add a comment. Just click on the checkin and click the Toast button or add some text to the comment field.
View Locations
You can click on a venue at any time throughout Untappd and see the venue information.
Geo-Location
Throughout Untappd you can use our Geo-Location features to find activity or beers around you. Just look for the Geo-Location Icon and click it.
To find a beer around you just click the Geo-Location button on a beer check-in screen and you can see if this beer is anywhere close to you.
Drink Up & Checking In
Click the Drink Up button to checkin to a beer and/or a location. In the Recent Brews section you will see beers you've recently had. You can click on suggested brews to see recommendations and view what is trending by Micro ( Craft Breweries) Macro (i.e. Bud, Coors, Miller) or Local.
You can search for a beer by entering the beer name in the search field. Please enter the brewery name or beer name with the correct spelling.
Click the Check-in to this brew button (OR add the beer to your Wishlist)
(Optional) Add your location
Optional) Rate the beer by clicking on the 5 star rating area
(Optional) Add a Comment
(Optional) Add a Photo
(Optional) Choose to share on your Social Networks
Click Confirm you brew
Adding a Beer
If you can't find your beer on Untappd, you can easily add it. Just follow the steps to add a beer. Be sure to spell the name correctly and select the right brewery, ABV, and enter a description.
My Tab
The My Tab section of the app allows you to view your badges, friends and beers you've checked in with on Untappd. To see these just click on Total , Unique, Friends, or Badges.
Wish List
You can also view your wish list here. To remove beers from your wish list just click on the red minus button. To add beers search for a beer or click on any checkin to a beer to add that beer to your wish list. (see step 2 under Drink Up and Checking In)
Settings
Under settings you can scan Twitter and Facebook for friends and invite them to connect with you on Untappd.
Password Management & Social Network settings
You can change your password as well as manage you account settings and connections to your social networks. You can also set your badges to Twitter and Facebook automatically here.
Reseting your local storage
You can reset your local storage which will refresh the Untappd Apps local database. This will resolve some issues you may have with using the app, but won't delete any of your checkin data.
Notices
You can view all of your notifications here. These include toasts, comments, friend requests and any Untappd New.
