How can I delete/merge/edit a beer I created?

Problem

Ah shucks, you created a beer by mistake or made a typo. What to do now?

Solution

There are a couple of solutions depending on the problem:

Merging

• If you create a duplicate record (meaning that there is another beer with the same name), simply post your merge with the Beer URLs on Untappd here: http://help.untappd.com/discussions/beerbrewey-merge-requests. One of Moderators or Admins will take care of it as soon as they can.

Deleting

• If you created a beer, but didn't check into it and want it deleted - you will need to perform the same action as described above. We don't delete beers with check-ins unless the beer doesn't conform to our beer naming standards (http://help.untappd.com/kb/beer-guidelines/beer-naming-standards)

Editing

• If you created a beer and want to edit it because of a mis-spelling, ABV, or style change - follow these instructions: http://help.untappd.com/kb/getting-started/editing-beers-breweries

• NOTE - If the brewery has been claimed (i.e has an "Official" icon their feed page), then the beer is no longer editable by the creator. If you wish to make a change, you must request it in this discussion forum: http://help.untappd.com/discussions/beerbrewey-merge-requests
