Don't resolve suggestions

So, isn't one of the points of this board to get an idea how popular a suggestion is? Don't just close every single suggestion with "Thanks, we're looking into that." Allow people to reply and say, "Yea I agree with this." and get an idea of what's popular. Everything I've thought to suggest is on here already but I can't add my voice.

Here's my list just for shiggles (all iPhone app related):

  1. Remove friend searching from the main view and certainly don't default to that after checking in to a beer. Seriously drives me nuts.
  2. Please show the rating in feed views.
  3. half star reviews. (Make this an advanced feature if you must but it wouldn't take more than a .5 check box)

Thanks for the suggestion. We tend to close tickets so they don't keep the queue long so we can pay attention to those who needs help right away, rather than discussions. I can consider doing this in the future. Users can re-open tickets when ever they want to discuss is more detail, but in my experience, we 100% listen to feedback.

Here are some feedback to the items you suggested:

    1. I'm not sure if you heard, but were are releasing V2 of Untappd tomorrow. Friend search is gone from the activity tab. You can also DEFAULT your app to start on the Drink Up tab by going into the Settings Settings of your Application. At the conclusion on a check-in, you can always click the "Drink Up" tab on the bottom (or top) of the app to check-in again.

    2. Ratings unfortunately did not make it into the feed during this go around. This a heavily requested feature, and we can consider this for a future iteration of the product. I will tell you that you will be able to QUICKLY swipe click through feed items to see the ratings. While this isn't a improvement in UI, there is no "LOADING" option to pull down the data - it's all instantaneous.

    3. Half Star Review - this has been the debate of many users on Untappd. Don't get us wrong - we 100% want this - but we want to make it elegant and match the theme and design of our application. While a drop down for .5 would be the simplest way, it doesn't define the way we have designed our application.

As we all know, half stars on a mobile device (via touch) is merely impossible. The UX/UI experience is really bad. We have toyed with the idea of a "sliding toggle" with scores up to 100, but in our experience that make it harder for regular users to quantify if they liked the beer. 1 - 5 ratings have been very successful as regular users didn't feel pressured to come up with a answer on how they liked the beer.

Of course with power users, we need to a better solution to allow users to rate more effectively as 1-5 stars doesn't cut it. We have been toying with some ideas rating expansion including smell, color, etc for a future release (it was not including in the one we are going to release tomorrow).

I hope this answers your questions - and I'll leave this thread open so we can continue communicate.

    Thanks for your support!

    Thanks,
