IBU

I love hops and can't seem to get enough of 'em! Any thoughts to add an IBU spec to the beer description. Users could add it. Speaking of which to be able to add/edit details, description, ABV and IBU to a beer by users would be fantastic! So many times someone created a beer and didn't put any effort into making it accurate or with any detail. Maybe if a user has a few of them and it has been flagged as needing more info then it would accept data (for review)? Up to you, either way keep up the good work and thanks for creating and keeping such a great free resource running!

Hey Ian,
Very sorry for the late reply! We are actually starting to to capture IBU data on our beers. Right now - this is only available toward moderators. We will start displaying this information, when we have enough data. We have thought about allowing a free editing system with approvals - but it would create more work for our moderators unfortunately. We are still looking for the best solution.

The Great American Beer Festival in Denver is in October. Have you thought about promoting your app there? I will be there if you want me to hand stuff out or wear a t-shirt or something. Just another suggestion. I use Let's Pour to socially track my wine tasting and they recently added beer. You have some competition out there, good luck!
