Beer Types List - Too long?

The list of beer types is brilliant... it reflects the many faces of the wonderful world of beer.

However, its REALLY long! Does anyone else feel this? I confess I've only once gone all the way through...

Are there any types that could be consolidated?
Are they all really being used?
How about having a list of the ones that are being used plus any other 'usual' ones, then an option to 'suggest a new type' if you can't find the type listed?

    We're currently in the process of building some moderators tools so our
    super users can go through and consolidate the styles.

    We definitely agree that the list is a little out of hand right now and
    we are working to clean it up!
